The Town of Bluffton’s Old Town Master Plan, crafted in 2006, serves as a guiding document for future growth and preservation of the Old Town Bluffton Historic District. It sets forth principles to protect the Bluffton National Register Historic District and to help maintain the character and quality of life that the community offers today. The Town of Bluffton’s Stormwater and Watershed Management Division within the Engineering Department is directly responsible for developing, implementing and promoting initiatives in support of the Town’s Strategic Plan, specifically Focus Area: The May River and Surrounding Rivers and Watersheds.

It is located in downtown historic Bluffton, South Carolina and serves the greater metro area that serves Bluffton and Okatie, SC. Town of Bluffton Welcome Center On Monday, , the Town celebrated the Grand Opening of the Town of Bluffton Welcome Center at the Squire Pope Carriage House! The Squire Pope Carriage House, which survived the 1863 "Burning of Bluffton" during the Civil War, was purchased by the Town in 2017.
